We seriously need to start talking about all of these really unsexy, but really important women's health-related issues. With the internet flooded by websites and blogs full of poor-quality, confusing information and quite frequently utter nonsense, there is a need for reliable, evidence-based information about women's health. About the Gynae Geek
Dr Anita Mitra, BSc(Hons) MBChB is the Gynae Geek.
She is an NHS doctor based in London working in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, with experience in both clinical medicine and research. Alongside clinical training Dr Anita is currently completing her PhD on the vaginal microbiome in cervical precancer (CIN)/cancer, and the reproductive complications of treatment for cervical precancer.
When not in the lab, or solving mysteries between someones legs, Dr Anita can be found in a gym perfecting her deadlift technique, drinking overpriced coffee in various London cafes, or working as a professional bridesmaid.
